Contract | Full-Time | Days (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/neurology unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale as part of routine neurological assessment
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and adhere to unit standards
• Float between units within the facility as operationally needed
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of post-surgical neurology patients
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate (locals considered at adjusted terms)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital or high-acuity acute care environment
• Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center workflows and protocols
• Flexibility to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location
