Contract | Travel | Night Shift | 16 Weeks | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center setting
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, airway, and neurological status during the post-operative recovery phase
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions through the recovery process
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and care provided
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Maine or compact license eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of PACU or post-anesthesia care experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient surgery center setting
- ACLS certification
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills in a post-operative environment
