Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12-Hour Shifts | Every-Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients, including boarded patients within the Emergency Department setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; passing EKG competency test is required prior to placement
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as census and staffing needs dictate
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with facility protocols and standards
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Passing EKG competency test required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Must submit: resume, 2 professional references, skills checklist, copies of certifications, license verification, BLS, and passing EKG test results

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4 or more years of RN experience in Telemetry or Medical/Surgical nursing
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system
• Prior experience managing boarded patients or working in a high-acuity environment
