Contract | 12 Weeks | Days, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings for patients with a typical length of stay of 3–4 days
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, surgical overflow, and telemetry/medical-surgical conditions
• Float to alternate facilities as needed
• Participate in orientation every Monday; orientation hours are non-billable (up to 16 hours)

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher must be submitted at time of application
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neurosurgery, urology, or orthopedic patient populations
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced telemetry environment
• Flexibility to float between multiple facility locations
