Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients in a 12-bed Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Care for newborns immediately following delivery and support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, and epidural anesthesia procedures
• Circulate and recover C-section patients in the OR setting
• Utilize documentation systems including CPN and Meditach for accurate and timely charting
• Participate in scheduled weekend shifts and on-call shifts per unit requirements
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy (travelers float first)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced), or CEFM; ACLS; BLS; NRP
• Demonstrated ability to care for laboring patients, newborns post-delivery, and circulate/recover C-section patients
• Expected schedule includes 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, 3 weekend shifts per scheduling cycle, and 1 on-call shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with tub labor and a variety of obstetric procedures including cerclage and D&C
• Familiarity with CPN and Meditach documentation platforms
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment alongside unit secretaries and OR techs
• Commitment to shared decision-making and patient experience initiatives
