Staff RN – Emergency Department – Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner; implement physician orders as written
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately
• Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous nursing experience, particularly in an emergency department setting
• Experience with problem-solving and facilitating resolution to complex patient care issues
