Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients (non-stepdown unit) utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately in Epic EMR.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in telemetry or a related nursing specialty.
• Proficiency or ability to work within Epic EMR.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac setting.
• Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1–6:1 in a fast-paced acute care environment.
