Travel: Registered Respiratory Therapist – Nights

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM depending on facility assignment) | Every other weekend and holidays required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
• Perform patient assessments and institute respiratory care plans across all areas of the hospital
• Manage ventilators (setup and operation) at a 5:1 vent-to-therapist ratio; manage airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP
• Perform and support advanced procedures including airway management, aerosolized drug delivery, blood gas collection and analysis, chest film analysis, EKG analysis, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Respond to emergency situations (Code Blue and White) and assist with bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and transport duties as needed
• Float between two facility locations; shift hours vary by location (6:00 PM–6:00 AM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Required Qualifications

• Active RT or RCP License in the state of employment required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC required (CRT may be considered with documented critical care experience)
• BLS certification required via American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification required via AHA
• PALS certification required via AHA
• Adult ICU experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Experience with advanced therapeutic gas management including INO and HeO2
• Experience with polysomnography, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, or waveform analysis
• Ability to serve in a Shift Leader or Team Leader capacity
