Travel RN – Surgical Telemetry

Contract | Travel | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: October 5, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 19-bed Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including patient ambulation and wound care as needed
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to sister departments including Ortho Trauma and Inpatient Rehab as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LVNs, and PCTs to support an admission/discharge team model

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Preceptor experience
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
