Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Prior experience in an ICU or critical care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous CVICU or cardiac critical care experience strongly preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), or ventricular assist devices (VADs)
- Prior travel nursing experience
