Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct acute care nursing to patients experiencing infections, complications from chronic diseases, and comorbidities

• Care for patients recovering from general surgery, colorectal procedures, short-stay surgeries, and specialty procedures including gynecologic oncology, urology, and procedural gastroenterology

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions across varying levels of acuity throughout the phases of recovery

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

• Participate in mentoring and precepting programs to support team growth and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or compact licensure eligibility

• Ability to work night shift as scheduled

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, acute care, or post-surgical nursing environment

• Familiarity with gynecologic oncology, urology, or gastroenterology patient populations

• Experience with precepting or mentoring new nursing staff
