Job Title: Nurse Manager – NICU

Salary Range: $34.08 – $51.13 (Exempt – Salary Based)
Sign-On & Relocation Bonus: Eligible

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – NICU to lead our neonatal intensive care team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring the highest quality of care for our most vulnerable patients. The ideal candidate will be a skilled nurse leader with a strong NICU background and the ability to inspire, mentor, and support clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of NICU nursing staff, ensuring a supportive, efficient, and high-performing environment.

  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to maintain seamless patient care and positive outcomes.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with hospital guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead recruitment, training, and professional development of NICU staff.

  • Monitor staffing levels, schedules, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs.

  • Foster strong patient- and family-centered care practices in alignment with the hospital’s mission.

  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.

  • Serve as a role model and mentor, promoting professional growth and clinical expertise within the team.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse license (or ability to obtain prior to start).

  • BLS and NRP required; specialty NICU certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Assistant Manager, or Manager) required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and team-building skills.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
