Key Responsibilities

• Float between two Family Birthing Center locations, providing flexible nursing coverage as needed

• Deliver high-quality obstetric nursing care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support positive patient outcomes in OB settings

• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff

• Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and nursing standards of practice

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing, ASN, or BSN required

• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required

• Minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience required

• Current CPR certification required

• Additional certifications may be required depending on assigned area

• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and assist with up to 100 pounds; strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred

• Experience floating across multiple units or care settings within an OB environment

• Familiarity with nursing competency advancement programs or professional recognition frameworks
