Job Title

• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

• Full-time, Night shifts, Contract (13-16 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Units (PCU) as needed.
• Ensure staff and patient safety within a secure corrections environment.
• Provide patient care for individuals with active oncology diagnoses, treatments, or related medical conditions.
• Perform and document patient assessments, Manage medications, including Heparin protocols and PCA.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry, including interpretation and response to dysrhythmias.
• Support patients with IV therapy, feeding tubes, renal care, respiratory support, and other specialized procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (OH or applicable state).
• EPIC charting experience is required; Oncology experience preferred but not essential.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience with medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and complex patient management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology and Chemotherapy knowledge preferred but not required.
• Experience in a corrections or secure environment is a plus.
• Proficiency with Pyxis medication systems and other electronic health records.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients with multiple diagnoses including hematology and general medical-surgical cases.
