Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement infection control protocols within the hospital setting
- Conduct investigations and reviews related to infection outbreaks
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and health regulations pertaining to infection prevention
- Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance sterilization and sterile processing procedures
- Document and report infection control activities and findings
- Educate staff on infection prevention best practices
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Extensive experience in infection control within a hospital environment
- Knowledge of sterile processing, operating room protocols, and infection prevention standards
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and safety regulations
- Ability to conduct investigations and analyze infection data
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous work in community hospital settings
- Certification in infection control (e.g., CIC) is a plus
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
