Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes across assigned units, including the NICU.
- Perform bedside diagnostic procedures as clinically indicated.
- Review and maintain individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations and make appropriate adjustments to care based on findings.
- Serve as a preceptor for students and newly hired staff to support onboarding and skill development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC.
- Current Indiana State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current CPR certification.
- ACLS and NRP certifications required, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Must be able to be on call and lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification is preferred but not required.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a NICU or acute care respiratory therapy setting.
