Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical and trauma patients in a busy medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with patient discharges and facilitate smooth patient flow within the unit.
- Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit guidelines to maintain a compliant healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work night shifts consistently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a surgical or trauma unit.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Experience with orthopedic, neuro, or general surgery patient care.
