Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, overnight shift (7 PM – 7 AM), 12-hour shifts, 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care in a telemetry/med-surg setting with a focus on routine and complex patient needs
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and treatments, addressing emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Demonstrate leadership by managing contingencies and delegating tasks appropriately to team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in telemetry or med-surg nursing
• Ability to handle complex patient care situations and demonstrate independence
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
