Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical education to long-term care facility staff in Sitka and Wrangell.
- Partner with clinical leaders to develop and standardize clinical competencies and training programs.
- Support onboarding and ongoing education of nursing and CNA staff, including preceptorship coordination.
- Collaborate with academic institutions for student clinical experiences.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adapt evidence-based strategies for staff development.
- Act as a liaison for additional clinical education opportunities across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or other U.S. state (application for Alaska license must be in process before start).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for providers.
- Clinical competency assessment completed within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a clinical instructor or educator.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, including at least 2 years in long-term care.
- Supervisory experience and knowledge of adult learning principles preferred.
- Familiarity with various educational modalities and technology tools such as TEAMS, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and online learning platforms.
