Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely, appropriate nursing care for patients of all ages within an urgent care setting.
• Perform initial triage assessments, including reviewing patient history, vital signs, and health needs.
• Administer medications and therapeutic measures, operate specialized equipment, and initiate IV access as needed.
• Coordinate care with providers, document assessments and interventions, and ensure patient education and understanding.
• Facilitate patient referrals, track their progress, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care.
• Respond to emergency situations in a professional and competent manner.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to take the NCLEX.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (applying for Alaska license if required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years; high-risk competency within 1 year.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience, with at least 1 year in ambulatory or urgent care clinics.
• Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and clinic protocols.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism during emergent situations.
