Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Select therapeutic activities tailored to patient needs and goals based on evaluations and history.
- Collaborate with and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in delivering patient care.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and billing accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on follow-up care and home therapy programs.
- Ensure all care complies with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the applicable state within 90 days of employment.
- CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Clinical experience from an accredited educational program.
- Additional relevant work experience is a plus.
- Membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if using a personal vehicle or assigned a company vehicle.
