Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Select therapeutic activities tailored to patient needs and goals based on evaluations and history.
• Collaborate with and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in delivering patient care.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and billing accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on follow-up care and home therapy programs.
• Ensure all care complies with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the applicable state within 90 days of employment.
• CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Clinical experience from an accredited educational program.
• Additional relevant work experience is a plus.
• Membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if using a personal vehicle or assigned a company vehicle.
