Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Work alongside physicians to perform a variety of specialized CT procedures.
- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures and position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, while respecting patient ability and comfort.
- Obtain appropriate patient information for each procedure being completed.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, technologists, and others in the area utilizing PPE and applicable guidelines.
- Recognize emergent situations and activate appropriate assistance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Ability to operate within the Standards of Ethics of the ARRT and the Clinical Practice Standards established by the ASRT.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CT-specific ARRT certification is strongly encouraged.
- Previous experience in CT or a similar radiologic technology role.
