Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical conditions using tests, medical history, and observation to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Design and implement treatment interventions for conditions including joint replacements, sports injuries, sprains/strains, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care, provide updates, and optimize treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and post-discharge care.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s Degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist (or eligible).
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy (new grads considered with strong clinical rotations).
  • Certification or training in specialized techniques (e.g., McKenzie, Maitland, Dry Needling, Graston).
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic).
