Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living/independent living communities.
  • Support patient progress through targeted therapeutic activities.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Ensure safety and comfort of patients during therapy sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
  • Valid state licensure or registration as required.
  • Ability to work weekends and full 8-hour shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in SNF and AL/IL settings preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Previous experience assisting in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
  • Knowledge of post-acute care therapy procedures.
  • Ability to adapt activities to different patient needs.
