Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Gainesville, MO

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Evaluate, plan, and administer treatments to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing.
• Record treatments given and note patient progress in medical records.
• Support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy activities.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care as needed.
• Complete required documentation following company policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Empathy, patience, and physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of documentation protocols and regulatory compliance.
