Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and treat patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based, and home health care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions for physical and developmental disorders.
• Coordinate care efforts with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans.
• Promote patient independence by optimizing resource utilization and supporting caregiver education.
• Maintain detailed documentation and interpret clinical data to track patient progress.
• Float between departments and locations within a 20-mile radius as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Doctorate preferred).
• Valid New Mexico Physical Therapist License.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross.
• Minimum of two years of current inpatient and outpatient experience.
• At least one 13-week travel assignment experience.
• Proven experience working with pediatric patients (birth to 18 years old) and adult populations.
• Basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Pediatric physical therapy experience in inpatient and emergency settings.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience (training available if needed).
• Flexibility to float between pediatric and adult units.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a team.
