- Full-time, travel, days, 4x10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care to postoperative patients across pediatric to geriatric age groups
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about postoperative care and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas or valid compact license
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA)
- Current PALS or ENPC certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably in perioperative or critical care settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in perioperative or post-surgical units
- Participation in RN residency programs or recent perioperative practice
