Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans following department protocols.
- Verify exam orders, identify patients accurately, and educate patients about procedures.
- Maintain radiation safety standards, ensuring compliance with ALARA principles.
- Review patient medical history, obtain informed consent, and ensure all documentation is complete prior to imaging.
- Document procedures, maintain accurate records in electronic health records (EHR), and process billing as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with service engineers when necessary.
- Assist with clerical duties, patient transportation, and cross-train with other modalities as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting schedules, participating in call, overtime, or holiday shifts, and completing additional training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful passing of background check, pre-employment drug screening, and Employee Health screening.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist.
- Cross-training in other modalities such as CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography.
- Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems.
