• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications, including titrated drips such as Cardizem and Heparin, as required.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and other staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips from Phillips monitors.
• Assist with troubleshooting RT equipment, including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems, especially in COVID-19 cases.
• Support patient safety and comfort during complex medical procedures such as pacemaker or AICD placements, lung surgeries, and chest tube management.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmed initiation of licensure application process.
• BLS certification; ACLS recommended.
• Ability to interpret EKG rhythms and titrate IV drips (e.g., Cardizem, Heparin).
• Basic nursing skills, including medication administration and patient assessment.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
• Knowledge of ventilator equipment and troubleshooting, including CPAP and BiPAP therapy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-acuity settings.
