Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist according to patient care plans.
  • Treat patients using prescribed modalities such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electrical stimulation.
  • Assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait training, activities of daily living, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses and progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on self-care techniques and activities.
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Vermont or New Hampshire, or hold a valid compact license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Unencumbered PTA license in VT and NH or valid compact license.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • At least one year of experience as a PTA in a home health care setting is preferred.
