Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Rotating Weekends | No Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform and demonstrate proficiency in ESI triage, splinting, STEMI and stroke processes
• Assist with procedures including chest tubes, central lines, and lumbar punctures
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET and use of communication boards, with a goal of 75th percentile patient satisfaction
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system (EDM)
• Emergency Department specialty or unit-based certifications
• Strong time management skills in a fast-paced emergency care environment
