• Full-time, Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, including procedures like CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, circulatory arrest surgeries, ECMO, Impella insertions, thoracotomies, and other chest procedures
• Prepare patients pre-operatively, assist during surgeries, and manage post-operative recovery in the CVOR setting
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure best patient outcomes and adhere to safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Float to different units as needed, maintaining flexibility and team support

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR nursing experience
• Valid Kansas or Compact nursing license in hand or eligible for compact licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and KY license required
• Competent with skills including CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, circulatory arrest, ECMO, Impella, thoracotomies, mediastinoscopies, and other related procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to complete required training modules during orientation and annually
• Knowledge of hospital policies regarding travel and staffing protocols
