Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts (3 shifts/week, 12 hours per shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care within the Medical Oncology Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including pediatric and adult oncology patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, operate telemetry systems, and manage various medical equipment.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, IV therapies, and blood products, following protocols.
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, drains, and trachs; respond to rapid response calls.
• Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and fall prevention protocols are followed diligently.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license (compact or state) in Ohio or multi-state license.
• At least 2 years of recent high-acuity PCU or oncology nursing experience preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and physical assessments.
• Ability to float within units of equal/lower acuity levels.
• Experience with telemetry systems and specialized equipment such as IV pumps, bladder scanners, and ventilators.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Oncology or chemotherapy administration experience.
• Management of dysrhythmias and insulin protocols.
• Experience with advanced airway management and invasive procedures.
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus.

Additional Information:

• Orientation includes first-week dayshift training and second-week on-unit precepted orientation.
• Strict credentialing with Ohio fingerprinting required prior to start.
• Travel compliance deadline is Tuesday before the assignment begins; timely completion of fingerprinting is essential.
• RTO requests must be built into the contract.
• References from leadership required; former travel nurses are eligible after a 6-month gap.
