Key Responsibilities

• Performs various nuclear medicine imaging procedures including gastric emptying, HIDA scans, bone scans, brain scans, liver and spleen scans, lung scans, renal flow studies, shunt assessments, and tumor localization.
• Operates Siemens imaging equipment and ensures compliance with safety protocols.
• Draws venous blood, starts and maintains IVs, and handles radioactive materials safely.
• Documents procedures accurately within hospital systems, including EPIC and Pyxis.
• Maintains patient safety and isolation precautions, utilizing PPE and proper disposal of radioactive waste.
• Collaborates with medical team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid ARRT in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT N) certification.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Experience with Siemens imaging equipment.
• Current license in NC or pending approval for licensure.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and handle radioactive materials safely.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge technologist experience.
• Trauma Level I or II experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
