Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and therapy primarily in Labor & Delivery (L&D) units, ensuring patient needs are met according to clinical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory treatment plans for neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Maintain all required certifications and licenses, including Indiana State License, ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP, with PALS preferred.
- Gather and document patient data, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Accept floating assignments within hospital units, including PICU and Peds, to support departmental needs.
- Comply with all travel and facility-specific policies, including mandatory holiday working and documentation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana State License (must be in hand prior to start).
- Minimum 2 years of NICU or PICU experience, with recent experience within the last 3 years at a Children's Hospital.
- Be comfortable with night shift schedule (19:00 – 07:00) and working weekends (Fri – Sun).
- Must have at least 18 months of relevant pediatric healthcare experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP (required), PALS (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with floating requirements.
- Authorization to work in Indiana for at least 3 months; out-of-state residents require a 3-month break in employment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in labor and delivery units focused on neonatal and pediatric respiratory care.
- Recent hospital experience in a Level 1 pediatric facility.
- Strong collaborative skills and flexibility to float across multiple units.
