• Full-time, Days, 4x10s (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures within a busy Level I Trauma Center’s main operating room
• Support a variety of specialties including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams, including RNs and surgeons, to facilitate efficient procedures
• Float within scope to meet department needs, covering like units and sister facilities as required
• Participate in on-call rotations and one weekend shift per month, including emergency response during hurricane season
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Certification from NBSTSA (MUSC does NOT accept NCCT)
• BLS certification
• Valid radiation badge (must be provided by agency)
• Ability to float within scope and work across multiple surgical specialties
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and robotic surgeries (Da Vinci Xi)
• Knowledge of high-complexity cases such as transplants, trauma, and burns
• Familiarity with EPIC charting systems
