- Night shifts, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts), full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in high-acuity Labor and Delivery units, supporting high-risk obstetric patients.
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
- Circulate during procedures, administer medications and treatments, and perform thorough assessments of both mother and baby.
- Support patient care following AWHONN guidelines, including electronic fetal monitoring and special procedures.
- Float to sister facilities for postpartum and antepartum care as needed, supporting diverse patient populations.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of recent high-acuity, high-volume Labor and Delivery experience.
- Current RN license with a valid compact license (if applicable).
- Proven experience with high-risk obstetric patients and electronic fetal monitoring.
- Ability to circulate during deliveries and perform newborn assessments, eye and thigh injections, and medication administration.
- Must pass clinical review and provide current proof of certifications including BLS, NRP, and neonatal care competencies.
- Current Supervisory references.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 5 years of high-risk obstetric nursing experience.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, or Intermediate are a plus.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including community clinics and recovery services.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
