School Registered Nurse

Job Title

• Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN) - School Clinic

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, weekday hours, onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine medical procedures, including vital signs, medication administration, and first aid.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as hygiene, mobility, and diapering.
• Monitor and document student health status, maintain medical records, and coordinate care plans.
• Provide emergency care and respond to student health needs per school policies.
• Facilitate telehealth appointments and collaborate with school staff and families to support student health.
• Assist in inventory management of medical supplies and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN or LPN license issued by the state of Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Background check and AHCA fingerprint clearance.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and operate medical equipment including glucometers, nebulizers, and suction machines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or special education healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of childhood illnesses and school health policies.
• Experience with emergency procedures and medication administration in a school environment.
