Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, days shift, 36 hours per week, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care to general surgical patients on a 32-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Collaborate closely with physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Administer pain management, assist with mobility, and perform bedside procedures
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, supporting various patient care settings
• Utilize Meditech EMR to document patient care activities
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and shift requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a recent, relevant specialty area
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as necessary

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in surgical or telemetry units preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
