Registered Nurse - Palliative

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide palliative care focused on symptom management and quality of life for serious illness patients
• Assist with end-of-life comfort measures and relief from symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, and failure to thrive
• Float within inpatient units of equivalent or lower acuity levels as needed
• Follow established protocols and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure compassionate patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Valid Ohio or Compact State RN license at the time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Ability to complete fingerprinting process quickly and comply with travel credentialing deadlines

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, or a combination based on departmental needs
• Experience working in palliative or hospice care is a plus

Additional Notes:

• Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing process, including Ohio fingerprinting requirements
• Travel arrangements will be coordinated to meet compliance deadlines; local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at submission and built into the contract
• Candidates outside Ohio within driving distance will need to complete fingerprinting locally; those farther away will receive fingerprinting packets for urgent completion
