Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services in an acute care setting, including ventilator management, arterial blood gases, nebulizers, and inhaled nitric oxide.
- Assist with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, intubation, and transportation of mechanically ventilated patients within the hospital.
- Collaborate effectively with department team members and multidisciplinary hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to unit protocols, equipment usage, and safety standards, including dress code requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the hospital’s EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) credential
- Minimum of 1 year adult respiratory experience in an acute care environment
- Ability to perform standard RT procedures confidently
- Experience with ventilators such as GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and HFNC equipment
- Flexibility to work night shifts and participate in rotating weekend schedules
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical care or ICU experience in adult populations
- Experience with advanced respiratory procedures and equipment management
