- Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Stepdown, Intermediate Care, and Ventilated Tracheostomy unit, including pulmonary and high-acuity patients.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations.
- Administer medications via IV, manage IV lines, PICC lines, and central lines, including cardiac drips and heparin protocols.
- Care for ventilated patients, including ventilation management, chest tubes, and airway support devices.
- Perform gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and renal procedures such as feeding tube care and dialysis management.
- Maintain patient safety through adherence to isolation precautions and emergency response protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a similar ICU, PCU, or stepdown unit.
- Strong ventilator experience and proficiency in telemetry monitoring.
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Ability to interpret ABGs, manage respiratory equipment (BIPAP, CPAP, HFNC), and handle high acuity respiratory cases.
- Certification in NIHSS preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with endobronchial valves, ventilators, and advanced respiratory therapies.
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and emergency cardiac response.
- Knowledge of specialty procedures like airway management and dialysis care.
