• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to intermediate medical and surgical patients in a 24-bed IMC/PCU unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations using telemetric monitoring and rapid response teams
• Administer medications, including heparin protocols and PCA, and manage IV insulin protocols and other specialized treatments
• Manage patient needs related to wound care, wound vac management, feeding tubes, and other complex medical procedures
• Float between departments and units as needed, providing flexible coverage to ensure continuous patient care
• Maintain compliance with safety standards including isolation precautions and wound management

Required Qualifications

• Active registered nurse license in the state of Missouri or compact license
• 1 to 2 years of recent experience in a telemetry, IMC, PCU, or stepdown unit
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, feeding tube management, and various IV therapies
• Must be available for night shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with endocrine/metabolic protocols, renal failure management, orthopedics (trauma, joint replacements), and plastic surgery drains
• Tracheostomy management, eye surgeries, and advanced telemetry skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
