• Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care to post-operative cardiac patients in a 16-bed CVICU.
• Perform advanced procedures including central line insertions, swan-ganz catheter placements, intubations, and device management such as ECMO, LVADs, and IABP.
• Monitor patient hemodynamics using Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and manage medications via Alaris IV pumps.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of intensivists and highly trained nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Document care accurately utilizing the Meditech system, adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
• Assist with patient care during high-volume cardiac surgeries, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Critical care nursing experience, specifically in CVICU.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, with experience handling PA catheters.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in scheduled rotations including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• Previous experience working in a high-volume cardiac ICU setting.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.
