Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry (Cardiac)

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Days, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care on a 42-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit, managing patients with cardiac conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, and shortness of breath.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring seamless coverage across departments.
• Administer treatments, monitor vital signs, and manage patient recovery to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for medical and surgical patients, including those with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and stroke.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday and weekend shifts, maintaining high-quality care standards.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year recent experience in a Cardiac Telemetry or similar specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital setting with Meditech EMR.
• Ability to float to various units and adapt to different patient care environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
