Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Level I Trauma Center within a Short Term Acute Care hospital.
• Perform duties specific to medical-surgical nursing with a team nursing approach, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:7 or higher with support staff as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient treatment, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Manage patient care during night hours, including assessment, intervention, and documentation.
• Respond to clinical emergencies with expertise, particularly in a Level I Trauma setting.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferably in a trauma or acute care hospital.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center preferred.
• Cerner EHR experience is a plus.
• BLS certification required; other certifications as applicable.
• Willingness to work night shifts and adjust for holiday coverage, including the possibility of working two major holidays if they fall during the assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Level I Trauma cases.
• Previous hospital experience in a large, acute-care facility.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
