Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to adult cardiac patients in a high-acuity CICU setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor complex cardiac cases and implement treatment plans.
- Floats to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain high standards of professional practice.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and a positive care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Alabama or a compact license.
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIH or Red Cross certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 18 months considered with current licensure.
- At least 1 year of recent experience in critical care or the CICU.
- Willingness to float to other units/hospitals as required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification (if working in pediatric units).
- Experience working in a high-acuity cardiac environment.

Additional Details
- Hours per week: 36 hours (every other weekend, holidays as required).
- Worksite: Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
- Projected start date: May 11, 2026.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Work hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
- Worksite amenities include parking and a professional dress code (solid navy scrubs).
