Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care in a high-acuity, combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department
• Manage cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmias, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Administer IV therapies, including sedation, vasopressors, and manage central lines and arterial lines
• Assist with ventilated patients using CPAP/BiPAP and manage respiratory care
• Perform triage and implement isolation precautions per protocol
• Contribute to a team environment in a Level I Stroke & STEMI Center with occasional OB patient management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience within the past 12 months
• Valid RN license; pending licenses not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required; CPI and MAB preferred
• Ability to float within scope across different ED departments and units
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holiday rotations as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in STEMI and Stroke Certified Facilities
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Management of ventilated patients and complex cardiac cases
• Experience with arterial line management and pacing
