Job Title

• Respiratory Therapist – NICU & Pediatric Unit

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shifts, 4 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week contract, nights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients in a high-acuity hospital setting
• Work within the Children's Hospital, primarily in the NICU (Level 4) and PGYU units, supporting complex patient needs
• Participate in a self-scheduling model, collaborating with management to accommodate preferred hours when possible
• Follow all clinical protocols, including those for cardiac and NICU patients, utilizing advanced respiratory care techniques
• Ensure compliance with all hospital and state licensing requirements, including BLS, NRP, and RRT certification
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interventions and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Valid BLS and NRP certifications
• Active VA license (or the ability to obtain a valid temporary license before start date)
• Level 4 NICU experience, with cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a self-scheduling model
• Must have an active license in another state if pending VA license

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in pediatric ICU or specific NICU settings
• Previous hospital experience with Epic electronic charting system
• BSN degree preferred
• Additional NICU or PICU certifications are a plus
