Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing in core departments including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as Epic Beaker EMR system
• Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory results in a large, tertiary hospital setting
• Adhere to hospital policies, including a drug-free workplace and safety protocols
• Collaborate with lab supervisors and team members to reach competency standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois clinical laboratory license or confirmation that license application has been initiated
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT, MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) with a 2- or 4-year degree
• Experience in complex hematology and blood bank, ideally within trauma 1, children's hospital, or high-level clinical environments
• Ability to pass a negative drug screen (OSF’s drug-free campus policy)
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial required for submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in large hospital laboratories with trauma, pediatric, or specialized clinical skills
• Familiarity with Epic Beaker EMR and microbiology/blood bank disciplines
• Experience working under supervision with a dedicated team, not requiring phlebotomy duties
